LISANDRO IS A WINNER

Jeffrey Lisandro the Australian professional poker player, now residing in Salerno, Italy, is known by many to be a cash game specialist, but is a well-known face on the poker tournament circuit and is regarded as one of the premier Seven Card Stud players in the world.

Having finished 17th in the 2006 World Series of Poker main event, winning $659,730, he was also noted for an incident with Prahlad Friedmanduring the event, where Friedman felt that Jeffery Lisandro had not put in his ante, worth 5,000 chips, in a hand.

Matusow Speaks Out

Reputed poker player Mike Matusow, popular as The Mouth, speaks about the poker industry and also about some individual players. Matusow is self-opinionated as he enters the poker industry whether it is brick and mortar casinos, online poker and so on. It was since the last summer that the pro has been shielded away from the world of poker as he admitted that he was churned up by the whole situation that cropped over after online poker’s Black Friday.

SEIDEL TOPS INDEX

The current rankings for the GPI (Global Poker Index) 300 have been unveiled and there was a huge change in the top twenty of the list which saw Erik Seidel, the American poker pro dip 17 positions as well as out of the top twenty to go down all the way to twenty-third on that list.

LISANDRO TAKES A SHOT

Jeffrey Lisandro took a shot for the WPT High Rollers crown. A light field of 20 players stepped up to offer their £15,000 (roughly $22,000 U. S. dollars) for a shot at one of three paying spots. The first three places paid out £141,000 for first, £84,600 for second, and £56,400 for third, meaning that most everyone on the tables would walk away with just a story for their efforts.

LISANDRO STANDS IN IVEY'S WAY

Jeffrey Lisandro is one of the few standing in Phil Ivey's way. Ivey registered for the World Poker Tour’s Bellagio Cup VI two days after the event kicked-off –The WPT allowed registration through the first level of Day 3, which many people took advantage of—with a 20BB stack, and is now sitting in 2nd place with 15 players remaining!

Perry added that WTP officials were impressed by the turnout last week: “It definitely met our expectations, but also exceeded them. All of the players were incredibly supportive and it’s good to see. Everyone we had as far as players were all champions. They were all just loving being around each other and playing against each other.”
